ENGLISH ONLINE
You can learn English wherever you are
with tutors with a great passion for teaching!
The teaching materials aim to engage students who are
interested in” pedagogy of questions” (Mayo 2000, quoted in Macrine 2020,p.63) during which students and educators learn from each other by “co-investigating the object of knowledge” (ibid., p. 65). For this reason, the purpose of the course is to encourage learners from an early age but also adults to question the world around them and work towards the implementation of positive changes in their local and global environments (Hadley, Hayes, 2021).
We pride ourselves on our flexibility.
We can teach on a one-to-one basis, or in small groups.
We tailor lessons for absolute beginners to experienced English speakers wanting to top up their skills.
WE VALUE INFORMATIVE AND ETHICAL SCIENCE.
As George Monbiot argues “Coronavirus shows us it’s time to rethink everything. Let's start with education.” (Monbiot, 2020, p.1).
Our team of experienced tutors teaches English through the art of conversation in a relaxing, and engaging way because the main goal in English language learning “is the ability to communicate effectively in English” (Council of Europe,2001).
During our language trips in the UK,
we take students out of the classroom teaching English in action and promoting ecological values.
The concept of education as a holistic process in which the main message is to teach ecological values, respect for Nature, and promote a more just
world stands in opposition to educational systems maintaining the status quo by training the workforce which does not to question environmental,
economic, and social ills
(Mayo 2020, cited in Macrine 2020).
Well-being language classes.
Promoting learning from the feeling position
because the “body is involved in an act of knowing” (Darder, 2016, 3m 52s).
We start our outdoor classes with a guided historical tour of the place we are at. The language of the tour is adjusted to the level of the students. Later we sit down on the blankets, and students learn the words and expressions from the tour. Finally, we practice some basic relaxation exercises, yoga or meditation to call it a day. The language of the exercises is also practiced upfront. We recommend bringing some snacks, and drinks for a break time.
This approach correspondents well with a concept of education not only as training based on professional or technical development but teaching which is linked with feelings, emotions, intuition, and a body (Darder, 2016) close to” indigenization empowering creativity, the participatory, and peaceful planetary co-relation between human, and non-human alike” (Kahn, 2010, p.120).
As Jane Goodall (2021) claims holistic-driven and humanistic approaches are necessary for harmonious coexistence with the natural world. The classroom should be seen as an environment where “experimental learning could take place” (Williams, and Burden,1997, p.23).
Learning occurs in collaboration with others and involves some historical context which enables learners to “develop their linguistic tools in conjunction with a critical understanding of the world” (Hall, ibid., p.9) especially needed in times of uncertainty, and crises (Giroux, 2021).
We help students to raise their consciousness about the forces which have an impact on their lives (Giroux 2009, quoted in Macrine 2020, p.96).
We help students to become more informed
citizens who according to Dewey are ready to take part in democracy not only viewed as a political system but also as an ethical ideal (Stobie,2016).
Authenticity in terms of task is a “real world” (Long 1985, quoted in Ellis 2003, p.6) because during the course students are taken outside the school classroom.
English classes are carried out by Beatrice ( Ms.Betty) who teaches with her heart and aims to give you the confidence to speak English.
She avoids mechanical learning methods, preferring instead to teach using interaction, engagement, and discussion about issues.
Beatrice has been trained to the highest standards.
She was awarded two Master's degrees.
In 2021 she graduated from Leeds Beckett University, UK.
She was awarded a Master of Arts in English Language Teaching.
She also completed the CELTA course run by Cambridge University and UK Tefl.
In her free time, she loves walking in the countryside with dogs, reading books, and playing the piano.
SUPPORTIVE TEAM

Literature Trips
The linguistic genre contains the language of ecology and social justice.
The approach provokes critical thinking which can help to change reality rather than produce “naive thinkers” who adjust to “normalized today” (Freire, 2017, p. 65). The aim of the course is to challenge status-quo-like work and celebrity culture where the student is not perceived as a product that fills the needs of the globalized market
(Chun, 2009), but as a critical agent who can recognize the threats of the contemporary world and prepare for them in advance. the developed materials for the purpose of this assignment are placed in the wider context of beliefs about what kind of world we want to live in the future (Giroux, 2019).
Family English Courses where children and adults learn together.
The aim is TO INVOLVE CHILDREN, AND ADULTS IN KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDES, AND ACTIONS in order to help to create a more sustainable planet Earth (Hadley,2021). To engage children in action they need to feel good. Motivation could be enhanced by spending time together as a family in an environment that is comforting for students (Krashen, 2021). As far as adults are concerned, participating in the course with children can teach older learners to be less self-conscious about making mistakes and have greater joy in the new experience. The course PROMOTE STUDENTS'AUTONOMY and LONG-LIFE LEARNING EXPERIENCE which is FUN AND STRESS-FREE ADVENTURE.

Finally, the course is designed to help students from an early age to fit better into the life of the digital generation (Marsh, 2014). The important aspect of the course is related to online safety which is another reason adult supervision is always required during all activities.
Book Club
Vintage English
Reading activities play a huge role in getting students interested in books and
stories as it is an effective way to look deeper into life or get empathy, and also improve literacy (Chomsky,2021).
The whole person's involvement in language education means that people do not learn independently, but on social terms, and through meaningful interaction with others (Wiliams & Burden, 1997, p. 39). The language and grammar emerge from books we read , and discussed together.
Students learn English in “cultural, political, and historical contexts” (Hall, 2018, p. 239). We explore life in England using materials from interactive museums, and British literature. We talk about social change and women's rights which reflect the thoughts of Dewey who claimed that teaching is regarded as a moral activity helping learners to
establish not only meaningful but also harmonious with one’s environment
lives (Kim, n.d., cited in Rud et al., 2009).
Happiness Trips
The holistic inclusion of ecopedagogy stands in line with the notion of global citizens'
mindsets in a curriculum of the course which enables students, and teachers/language partners to construct the knowledge together
encouraging participants to develop learning autonomy. We teach in Nature, in spiritual places of ruins of the Abbies where the mind, and body relax, and acquire the language faster.
We value pleasure in learning a new language.
